Ball Bearings

The tapered design allows these bearings to accommodate large axial misalignment during assembly without binding or damage from vibration during operation
Bushings
Bushings are used to adapt shaft sizes. They can be used to adapt a larger or smaller shaft to a smaller or larger hole, respectively. Bushings are non-rotating components that are designed to fit into a housing and hold the rotating components in place.

Steel bushings are typically used in high temperature applications because of their ability to withstand thermal cycling. This also has good wear characteristics which makes it an ideal material for bushings that need to last over an extended period of time. These bushings are not typically used in applications where vibration resistance is key because they do not dampen vibrations well compared to other materials like plastic or rubber. Bushings come in three different types:
Soft bushings are the most common type of bushing and are used in most skateboards today. These bushings are designed to provide a smooth turn with a little resistance for control.
Rigid bushings provide maximum stability at high speeds and can be used for downhill or freeride riding.
Flexible bushings allow for more responsive turns without sacrificing stability at higher speeds.
Grip Tape
A deck tape is used to provide a form of grip on the skateboard’s surface. This makes it easier to stay in one place & perform movements with ease. This tape is applied to the top of a deck, which is then trimmed and pressed into place. Grip can be used without a board or on an existing board that is being repaired.
