This is a good question, and I believe it’s critical to fully understand the advantages and disadvantages of each option before hiring a designer/developer or going it alone.

3. It takes a long time to build a website on your own (and time is money!).

Building your own website is a process that will take a long time to complete. Even if you utilize a page builder like Wix or WordPress, expect to spend 2-5 hours on each page. That quickly adds up.

What you must first decide is how much your time is worth. If your time is worth $50 per hour, how many hours can you devote to this project (rather than running your business) before you’ve squandered money on what was intended to be a low-cost solution?
